Look who’s back! It’s bittersweet to share that three month old Athena has been returned and is once again available for adoption.

Athena and her brother (Brutus) first came to us as newborns with their almost-feral mama. Once weaned, Athena adjusted well to life in our puppy-foster and was adopted last month. Unfortunately, her new home was not a good fit and she was returned for no fault of her own. Puppies are adorable, but they require commitment, effort, and patience. As sad as we are that Athena’s home didn’t work out, we’re thrilled to have her bubbly, bouncy energy around again.

Athena is pure joy! She loves to play with other dogs and is happy and fun-loving. We definitely think she’d like to have a male dog (or two) as a companion in her forever home. While we don’t expect her to be over 50lbs, she’s definitely an active, energetic pup who plays hard and loves to wrestle. She’s also very sweet and easy to love.
