Carter – Pit bull mix – 2 yrs – Female (52lbs)

Say hello to our little cutie, Carter! Carter was abandoned at a rehab facility when her owner checked out and didn’t take her with him. The facility, while dog friendly, didn’t have anyone that could consistently care for her so they called Animal Control and she was taken to a county shelter. We took one look at that big smile and had to get her out of there! 

Carter is quickly becoming a shelter star! She doesn’t have accidents in her kennel area and we were told she lived inside a home so we believe she’s housebroken. She’s very smart and learns new things quickly so training should be fun. She has pretty great manners already! Carter loves her walks and has been good on a leash. She is also a water dog. She LOVES splashing around in the baby pool and gets the zoomies running through it – she makes everyone laugh but you better get out of the way, she’s fast! 😂 Carter is happy all the time and her amazing smile shows that! She loves people, is super affectionate, and she’s great with other dogs at our shelter. She’s sweet, athletic, and full of life.
