Darcy – Australian cattle dog/Kelpie mix – 2yrs – female (40lbs)

Meet our spunky little mama, Darcy! This adorable girl was picked up as a stray when she was found lying under a tree trying to stay out of the heat. When Animal Control arrived, they noticed that she looked very pregnant and they were right. A county shelter is no place for puppies to be born so we were contacted to help. We happily rescued her and Darcy went straight to our “mama-foster” where she was pampered while awaiting the arrival of her pups. Darcy gave birth to six adorable babies and was a very good mom. But now, she’s ready to forget all that and focus on herself!

Darcy loves people of all ages (kids too!) and thinks they should all love her right back. She plays well with other dogs too; although, she’s a bit bossy and likes to “run” the show. Darcy loves the baby pool and thinks water games are a blast. She also does well on a leash, but is easily distracted by cats, birds, or any little thing that scurries by. She doesn’t have any accidents in her kennel area so we believe she’s housebroken. Darcy is active and athletic so hiking, jogging, or other outdoor adventures would be ideal. This little sweetie is smart, happy, loving, and a joy to have around – she’s a ton of personality in a little package!
