Darth – Staffordshire Terrier mix – 2 yrs – male (60lbs)

This beautiful block-head was a “frequent-flyer” at the county shelter. He was picked up as a stray a number of times, but when his owners were called this last time, they said, “just keep him!” Poor Darth. The yard wasn’t even fully fenced so he would just take himself on a walk. Oh well, their loss! Darth is now at our shelter and he’s doing great. 

Darth is a pretty calm and mellow guy. He walks well on a leash; although, some loud noises make him uncomfortable. He doesn’t have accidents in his kennel area so we believe that he is housebroken. He’s not super needy like most male dogs, but does enjoy attention and a good scratch behind the ears. Darth plays with a few of the other dogs at our shelter and seems to prefer the ladies so far. We love watching when he gets the “zoomies” as he tucks his butt and circles the play yard. Darth loves treats and is quite the gentleman when he takes them, making sure that he gets only the treat and not your hand.
