Hazel – Dutch Shepherd mix – 2yrs. – female (43 lbs.)
Meet our sweet Hazel! This little girl was turned into a county shelter by a woman that watched as she was shoved out of a car along I-10. She saw poor Hazel trying to run after the car that held her so-called family! This kind woman didn’t want her to be hit by a car so she stopped, opened her door, and Hazel got right in. Now Hazel is with us and we just can’t understand why anyone would want to treat her in such a horrible way.
Hazel is as sweet as can be! She loves to play with other dogs and even with such a traumatic past, she’s still happy and full of life. She has a spirit for adventure and thinks everything is a game. Hazel is still very much a puppy and obviously had little to no training in her previous home. We’ve been working on leash training and she’s doing great. We also believe that she was an outside dog as she is not housebroken, but is learning more and more every day. With her big smile and wagging tail, Hazel is asking for a person or family that will love and include her for the rest of her days. Can you make Hazel’s dreams come true? Please fill out an application to start the process of making our girl, your girl!
