Kendra – Shepherd mix – 2 yrs – female (64lbs)
Introducing our spunky girl, Kendra! Kendra was originally surrendered by her owners because they lived in an apartment and she needed more space. Not surprising! She was then adopted from the county shelter, but quickly returned because she chased their chickens. Many large dogs, especially shepherds, have prey drives so it’s not at all surprising that she would go after chickens. Poor Kendra lost two homes for absolutely no fault of her own. We decided to rescue her and find her the type of home she really needs and deserves.
Kendra is an awesome dog! She’s super smart, active, and affectionate. She’ll happily flop onto your lap for belly rubs. Kendra loves activities: walking, hiking, jogging, etc. She just wants to be included in your life. She loves people of all ages and plays well with several male dogs at our shelter. An easy-going male would be a great match. Kendra is happy, outgoing, and entertaining. She’s always making us laugh with her big personality and we know you’ll love her too. We really want to find someone who won’t fail her the way the other two families did. When she does find her person, she will be very loyal, devoted, and love her new family/person with all her heart! If this sweet girl seems like a good fit for your life, please complete an application to make Kendra part of your family – she’s waiting!
