Melvin – German Shepherd mix – 5yrs – male (60lbs)

Meet our distinguished gentleman, Melvin. 🎩 This stunning boy was seized by law enforcement as part of a cruelty case. Melvin lived inside a “drug house” and had ingested a TON of marijuana. When the residents were arrested, he was taken to a county shelter in pretty bad shape. We saw the confused expression on his face and knew we had to get him out of there. Now he’s safe with us and learning all about what true love and care feels like. 

Melvin is the sweetest boy! Once he gets to know you, he’s an absolute lover-boy. He enjoys lounging in the sun and likes to go for leisurely strolls. He’s content to just hang out and get all the love and attention. Melvin is extremely polite and knows some basic commands. He was a favorite at the county shelter and has now won the hearts of our staff and volunteers too. While he’s fine to be around other dogs, he much prefers the company of people.
