Mercy – Am. Staffordshire Terrier mix – 3yrs. – Female

This pretty little girl was surrendered by her owner because they no longer had time for her. She then sat at that county shelter for a whole YEAR waiting for someone to take her home and make her part of their family! Wow – an entire year! We took one look at her and had to help change her luck.

Mercy is at our shelter now and she’s doing awesome! She is super easy and plays really well with the other dogs in her play-group. She is housebroken, crate trained, and does well on a leash – did I mention that she’s crazy sweet and very loving?!? She is great with people, kids included. Mercy is smart and willing to learn. She knows some basic commands, but has the potential to learn all kinds of things – she’d be a great “trick” dog! She’s petite and portable, she can easily go wherever her person goes. Mercy is athletic, but not hyper. She will need regular exercise, but doesn’t need to be with a super active family as she totally enjoys just laying around and snuggling. We have no idea why Mercy waited for so long at that shelter, but we figure it’s because she needed to be with us – we know one of our supporters is meant to be her new forever family! Could that be you?
