Miley – Staffordshire Terrier mix – 1 yr – female (42lbs)

Take a minute to meet our sweet girl, Miley! This adorable pup was found wandering in a motel parking lot; how she got there we’re not sure. Thankfully, the manager called Animal Control and she was picked up and taken to the county shelter. We spotted her there, heard her story, and just had to bring her into the safety of the SHR family. 

Miley is special in many ways, one of them being that she is completely deaf! But don’t feel sorry for her, she has no idea she’s different and is a normal happy, bouncy puppy. Miley is all puppy and reminds us of that every time she bounces out into the shelter play yard. Her being deaf does not slow her down one bit; she is outgoing, loves everyone, and thrives on attention. She’ll need a patient owner that appreciates her exuberant personality. Miley loves to play with other dogs, but she’s a rough and rowdy player who would love a big male companion to romp around with. She does have occasional accidents in her kennel area, we don’t believe that she ever lived inside a home, so she will need to learn basic “house manners”. She may not be able to hear commands, but she responds very well to treats and is attentive and wants to please. She’s a confident, happy pup who is going to thrive in a loving home.
