Oliver – Plott Hound mix – 1 year – male (56lbs)

Meet our adorable pup, Oliver! This sweet boy was pushed out of a car right in front of a county shelter! His owners didn’t even take the time to actually surrender him – how heartbreaking! But, even with that traumatic experience, Oliver is thankfully unaffected; he’s still happy, loving, and wants to be around people.

Oliver is safe at our shelter now and is such a fun, happy guy. He is still very much a puppy and would benefit from some training. He’s eager to learn and wants to please so training should come naturally. He’s also incredibly smart! He did play with other dogs at the county shelter, but so far, we have not been able to match Oliver up with any other dogs at our shelter. It seems like he may prefer being the only dog in the home. Oliver is great with people and thinks everyone is his best friend. He loves to go for walks and has done well on hikes and excursions outside of the shelter. He’ll politely greet every stranger he meets and even plays fetch and frisbee well. He’s sweet, silly, happy, and full of life! Oliver is still just a puppy and will need time, attention, and exercise to mold him into the amazing dog we know he will be. Do you have time for our adorable Oliver?
