Rodney – Labrador/Anatolian Shepherd mix – 2yrs– male (75 lbs)

Please welcome our handsome boy, Rodney. Someone witnessed this sweet boy being dumped from a car in a community park. They alerted Animal Control, who brought him to the county shelter. Not only was this poor boy abandoned, but he was completely emaciated. Whoever had owned him had obviously NOT been feeding him. 💔 We took one look into his soulful eyes and had to get him out of there. We rescued him to safety at our quieter shelter and are now spoiling him with lots of love and care.

Rodney is settling in at our shelter and gaining weight. He still has a ways to go, but he’s already looking much better. Rodney is gentle, polite, and super sweet. He has been good with the other dogs he’s met and has a funny play-style; he uses his paws like a boxer. He likes to go for walks, but still gets spooked by loud noises and cars. He also likes to take a dip in the baby pool so he‘ll likely enjoy water activities. Rodney is a diamond in the rough and we know in a good home with gentle training this boy will shine!
