Stevie – Labrador/pit bull mix – 2 yrs – female (48lbs)

Introducing our sweet little mama, Stevie! Stevie was found sitting right in front of the gates at a county shelter. When shelter staff checked their cameras, they saw her owners drive up, take her out of the car, and drive off! Even worse, they quickly realized that Stevie was also very pregnant. This sweet girl gave birth shortly after arriving which is when we were called. We happily stepped in and brought Stevie and her pups to safety with us. She was a great mom. Unfortunately, after she was done nursing, she ended up with mastitis and needed additional time to heal. That turned out to be a good thing for Stevie because she was placed in a foster home where her foster mom fell in love and said she can stay until she gets adopted. 🥰 It also allowed us to learn so much about her.

Stevie is great with all people: men, women, and children. She’s gentle and sweet. She can be a bit timid with new things, but is gaining confidence daily. She’s been great on outings and loves visiting the farmer’s market. She even loves car rides and jumps right in! Stevie is housebroken, crate trained, very polite, and quiet. Not only is Stevie adorable, but she will actually “smile” at you when excited – it’s crazy cute! She is food motivated and wants to please so training should be easy. Stevie’s foster mom couldn’t say enough good things about her and neither can we! If our special mama sounds like she needs to be in your life, please complete our application to get the chance to make her yours. ❤️
