Tate – Staffordshire Terrier mix – 2 ½ yrs – female (43lbs)

Meet our little cutie, Tate! Tate was surrendered to a county shelter with another dog because her owner “no longer had time for dogs in his life”. Sweet, little Tate was very frightened in that noisy, overcrowded shelter and would stay in the corner of her kennel trying NOT to be noticed. But we spotted her there and just had to get her out of there! Now that she’s with us, she’s slowly coming out of her shell and showing us more and more of her adorable personality every day.

Tate is an adorably sweet, but sensitive soul. She is loving and playful once she knows you, but is a bit shy when meeting new people. She doesn’t have accidents in her kennel so we believe she’s housebroken. Sadly, we don’t think she was ever walked in her old life because she gets very nervous on a leash. We’re working on it and, slowly but surely, she’s starting to enjoy going on walks. Tate is playful with other dogs and has several play-buddies at our shelter. She gets adorable zoomies that make us laugh…it’s so great to see her enjoying life! If you are looking for a pint-sized best friend, please consider Tate. She’s the sweetest little soul!
