Milton – Great Pyrenees mix – 2 ½ yrs – male (66lbs)

Welcome our sweet boy, Milton, to the SHR family! Milton was found sitting in the snowy front yard of an unoccupied house up north. He sat there for a few days before Animal Control picked him up. It is not known if he stayed in that yard because his family used to live there or if he was just tired of walking in the snow and found a safe place to rest. He was taken to a shelter where he sat until we spotted his sweet face and had to bring him into our shelter.

Milton was a bit shutdown at first, but his personality has been coming out more and more each day – and what a personality it is! We’ve learned that he LOVES people of all ages and the attention he gets. He’s a big boy, but greets people gently. He’s great on a leash and walks happily without pulling. He loves outdoor activities and would love to go on excursions out of the heat. He has been with other dogs and does okay, but isn’t overly interested in them and doesn’t really play. Milton has a beautiful coat which will require a lot of brushing to keep it looking good. Grooming is definitely a must with this boy. Milton doesn’t have accidents in his kennel so we believe he is housebroken. He’s loving, happy, and gives kisses freely. He also doesn’t know his size and will try to sneak into an open lap. 😉 Milton will make an amazing addition to some lucky person or family – could it be yours?
