Seymour – Staffordshire Terrier mix – 1 ½ yrs – male (62lbs)

Meet Seymour. This handsome guy had to come close to death before his owners would allow Animal Control to take him from them. From the time he was a little pup, he had been tied to a tree, rarely fed, and often didn’t have water. Neighbors would call Animal Control regularly, the owners would comply for a little while, and then forget about him again. The neighbors would give him some attention and he was always happily wagging to see them. The poor guy was quite literally starved for attention. One day, a neighbor was sure he was dead and called Animal Control again. Luckily, he was still alive (barely) and the people finally agreed to surrender him so they wouldn’t be charged. Seymour was then taken to a county shelter where he sat for five long months before we saw him and heard his story. We knew immediately that we had to have him!

Seymour is so happy at our shelter! Sadly, our shelter is the best home he’s ever had. But gosh it’s wonderful to see him blossoming! 🥰 Now he’s happy, gaining weight, and learning to be a fun-loving puppy! Seymour is great on a leash and plays well with other dogs. He rarely has accidents in his kennel area, which is a miracle considering he never lived in a home. We believe that he will be easy to train – he WANTS so badly to be a good boy! Seymour craves attention, it’s something he never had until now and he’s learning to love it. He’s also sweet, athletic, and adorable. Seymour takes each walk like it’s a new adventure. He’s so happy to see the world and already so grateful to get the chance to have a happy life! Just watching him brings us all so much joy! If you’re needing a little joy in your life, you just found your source! Please complete our application to meet and hopefully adopt our special boy, Seymour. ❤️
